Adult Volunteers

Castlepoint District is a growing area, focused on providing quality, fun and adventurous activities for young people, boys and girls, from age 4 and up.

Scouting – the largest youth organisation in our borough

Across the District we currently have 3 Squirrel Dreys (ages 4-6), 10 Beaver Colonies (ages 6 – 8), 10 Cub Packs (ages 8 – 10 ½), 10 Scout Troops (ages 10 ½ – 14) and 5 Explorer Units (ages 14 – 18) providing activities to hundreds of young people each week. Our membership has significantly grown in the last five years and demand continues to grow.

We have ambitious plans to open more Squirrel Dreys, Beaver Colonies, Cub Packs, Scout Troops and Explorer Units, and now we are offering you the opportunity to be part of our success.

Can you be part of our success?

Whether it’s one night a week, one hour a week or a couple of hours per month, be it in a uniformed Leader’s role, or a more back of house support function, you can play a key role in helping us – and have a great time along the way.

We promise that you will receive full training and support to help you settle into your new role, and we can almost guarantee that within weeks you will start to wonder why you did not volunteer years ago.

There really is a role for everyone

Lots of people state that they would like to give something back to their community – but they don’t know how.

Volunteering to help 5th Thundersley Scouts is a perfect way. If you want to find out more about helping as an adult, please complete this form and we will be in touch.
